Known to his fans as introspective, thoughtful, and gentle: Marshall Holland is an unsigned multi-instrumentalist / singer-songwriter / recording artist who produces his own original music.
Marshall started playing drums at the age of 2. He worked his way through all the other instruments, bass, guitar, keyboards all self-taught.
In 2004, he modestly self-released his debut album Don't Jettiso
... [More]n the Memories that features the acoustically soft and gentle, "There's No Need to Cry" and upbeat and intelligent and Weezer-ish, "Manual Operations".
In 2010, he decided to show his music to the masses and re-released his debut album and also released two new singles, "Jennifer" (a dedication to a childhood friend who had passed away) "Meet Me By The Blue Balloon" (an idea he came up with while working as an admin assistant.) Thanks to the internet, he is receiving a global response with downloads from online stores like iTunes and spins on internet radio stations like Pandora, Lastfm, Earbits and featured on KALX, in Berkeley. With his current album Statistically I Should Say... he is climbing up in the San Francisco alternative charts.
When he's not writing songs for himself, he composes soundtracks for bay area independent TV shows and movies.
